It's another wonderful Scallywag from Douglas Laing! This release of the blended malt celebrates the Scottish pastime of Munro Bagging, and has been matured exclusively in sherry casks. What is Munro Bagging you ask? A Munro is a mountain in Scotland over 3,000 feet and the country boasts 280 of them, and bagging is when you climb them! Just 600 bottles were released at 48% ABV.
The nose opens with a big Sherry blast, a hint of coffee and an inviting sweetness. On the palate, anticipate warming spices followed by rich chocolate cake and juicy dates, running to a satisfyingly long finish, replicating all that went before.
